ED "EYEBALL" ENGINEERING
|
|
Ed "Eyeball" Siccardi, Jr., is
the man most responsible for our ability
to continue brewing the fine quality
beer to which you have become
accustomed. Welder, woodcrafter,
technical and spiritual advisor and
fabricator extraordinaire, Ed has
functioned as our on-call fix-it guy and
one-man repair team since the turn of
the century.
Eyeball's many contributions to
Stewart's Brewing Company include our custom
fermenter covers, without which we could
not brew 70% of our seasonal beers,
including any lagers, Belgian styles,
our gold-medal-winning Kölsch
and of course, Stumblin' Monk.
Ten out of twelve of our medal winners
would not have been possible without
these fermenter covers.
Ed's also made several generations of
custom grain hydrators, a custom keg
disassembly tool and tank door bushings.
He's made emergency (and miraculous)
repairs to our grist mill and hop
percolator strainer plate. His
other repairs include our kettle door
hinge, mash tun plates, keg spears,
carbonating stones and standpipes.
(If you don't know what these are, they
are the magic arcana of the brewery that
lay people just have to nod about and
grunt, "Yeah - Good Beer!")
In addition to the above list, Eyeball has
performed more welding, re-threading and
other various tasks than we can list fully
or even remember, all for the love
of beer. Stout, in particular.
Ed is also an accomplished
luthier.
Should you wish to locate Ed to engage his
services, you can find him at his shop
in Downingtown, PA by telephoning (610)
518-1150, or by E-mail, at
edeyeball@yahoo.com .
